Car and Driver's 0-60 time for a 6-spd MT Sport

OK, I'm convinced. 0-60mph in 6.6 sec. Very impressive.

I'm ready to queue up for a 6-spd MT EX.

Yeah it is impressive for the 4cyl. That's as fast as my V6 sedan! The 2013 V6 Sedan is getting 5.6 with 1/4 at 14.1, very impressive. I wonder what the 6MT V6 coupe will do?

Is that with sport mode on in the V6? It does give it quite the punch when in sport mode acceleration.

Sometimes I regret not getting the manual, however, I had to look at practicality due to living in a traffic congested area and to me the silver and black interior just looks amazing together. When I look at the 0.8 second difference, it's really not that much and I get to drive in comfort. Thank god the paddle shifters are actually decent unlike the 2012 Camry. Those things are disgraceful

So, looks like 0-60mph:
V6 automatic is 5.6 secs
4 manual is 6.6 secs
4 automatic ...any idea?

Wow, the 4-6mt being under 7 seconds is crazy for that car. It's like my 6-6, which is a second or better faster than the 06 5at. I didn't think 185hp would be capable of moving that big car that quickly.

I've seen times in the 7.6-7.8 for the 4 CVT to 60, and the quarter in the mid 15s at low 91 or high 90. Not fast, but not far off the pace of the 06 5at. The smoothness & mileage of the CVT make it worth it, though (at least for DW, I'll row my own, tyvm).

0.8 seconds is a huge difference in the 0-60 times. Think about it, that's over 1 full second in the 1/4 mile easy.

Python, I hope your '06 6MT does 0-60 in less than 6.6....lol.

With that said, 6.6 is indeed very impressive for the 4-cyl 6MT!

C&D said 5.9 back in the day for the coupe, so sedan is probably around there. Other publications were somewhat slower, but the 5AT was usually around 7.4. The 1/4 difference was even more stark, 5AT is where 6MT 7mph trap difference for same engine is ridiculous. At least now the CVT traps within .8s/2mph. Don't get me wrong, I'm still fully in the save the manuals camp, but I totally understand zoi... that CVT is a dream to drive. But the good ol' MT still reigns supreme

As for my 6-6, she still pulls pretty hard for her age, but I'd have trouble keeping up with those new 6AT monsters. Finally the added hp/tq in the J35 is getting used. But yea, I do wish I had a TL-S (got the email so I saw it ). Actually, going back to look at the numbers, wouldn't you know it: the new AT is .1s behind the TL-S in the 60 and runs the exact same 1/4, and the TL SH-AWD 6MT is only .4s ahead to 60 and .3s ahead to the 1/4 while again trapping at 101. Monster indeed.

Honda has really upped the ante in performance. Anybody else think Honda is being shall we say, conservative, in the power figures they're quoting.

The Accord V6 sedan is getting very close to the acceleration times of the smaller, lighter, 328 hp Infiniti G37 with a 7-speed auto according to C&D figures.

I drove a 2013 V6 EX-L that a friend of mine recently bought and I have to say it's a very impressive car for the money. He now has 5000km on the car and while it doesn't feel quite as spritely as my G it's not far off.
