Accord Touring 2017: follow maintenance minder or mileage for services?

I have a question for the forum. I have a 2017 Accord Touring model. I am coming up on 30K miles and one dealership is telling me I need a 30K service. Another dealership is advising me they don't follow that model anymore and I should follow the maintenance minder for service. Can anyone advise if your dealership is advising of a certain service for mileage or following the maintenance minder.

My dealer has recommended services for each 500 miles from 2,500 miles up to 200,000 miles. Another dealer near me has service intervals for each 5,000 miles.

Follow your MM - dealers are always looking for ways to increase their profits. Service Interval question (45k) ---

Do you think the Maintenance Minder is wrong? Do you think that dealership has your best interest, or their own, in mind when they suggest not following the MM?

03 EX V6 Sedan auto (NBP, then Ford Blue) - traded in after 13 years (135k miles)

When I bought my Accord in December 2016, they made an appointment for my to have my car checked the following April. When I brought it in, they looked at the MM and said that the car was at 70% and didn't need an oil change. They told me to come back when the MM started warning me. That wasn't until the beginning of December 2017, when the car had 6,500 miles on it.

I always wait until the MM says something, and read the codes. I don't let the oil change percentage go to zero like some folks do. When it hits 15%, I check the codes, check my schedule, and arrange to have it taken care of.

I also put everything on a spreadsheet, date, miles, what done, how much, and where done. It gives me a good history.

That is the dealer you want to keep using. The maintenance minder is the proper way to determine:

A) what needs to be done, and
B) when.

It will tell you both.

It's been in use since 2006, so if following it was causing problems, we would have heard about them by now.

Some of us have actually had the oil tested at a lab, and have found that even when the MM is at 0%, it's still a little early to change the oil. My car gets to 0% between 7,500 to 9,000 miles.
