I have a small rockchip and used the Honda touch up paint and its useless.
Anybody agree.
2 sided touch up pen.
One side is paint the other is clear with sparkles. I consider myself an expert when it comes to touching up chips from over the years but this paint touch up device does not work well.

Tip from experience: Use a syringe. Cut the sharp point off the needle, sand off the top, clear the debri. Pour the paint into a sealable container. (Small glass paint jar.) Make sure the paint is shaken not stirred. :P Put the paint in the vial of the syringe. Point the tip of the stringer up, press up on the plunger, (white flat circular edge) to expel air that is in the chamber.
Then, fill in your paint chip, let dry. If chip is not completely filled /level, fill again.

I used to work as an auto-reconditioner, and touch up paint was one of the things I did at many used car lots in So Cal.

White pearl is a bitch to match... Black touch up paint matches perfectly. This is why I applied Xpel to my hood on a white car... knew how hard it was to touch up chips.

I wish I could buy the bottle of touch up paint though... works way better than the (EXPLOSIVELY VIOLENT, CONTINUOUS, AND UNCONTROLLABLE BOWEL MOVEMENTS) pens.

I've used the Honda touch up paint on my car (Champagne Frost) and even the brush tip doesn't work well. I like versedispersed suggestion as I think a drop of paint would cover better than the brush.

I agree with your frustration. I had to touch up a nasty chip on the driver side side-skirt the first week I had mine. The base color seems to be a lighter shade of white. I haven't applied the top coat yet. Will the top coat tone down the color so it matches?

Take the paint code to a paint store that has automatic paint. Have them match the color till it matches.

I have seen genuine honda matching coded colors Would Not match the cars' color correctly. That is pathetic for honda oem touch-up paint; at least that is for the 3-in-1 honda oem touch up paint.

Try Mazda crystal white pearl. Works great for me and matches well.

For very small rock chips on the hood, Dr Color Chip is the way to go. Worked great with my WOP coupe.

Has anybody used TouchUp Direct for touch paint

I recently tried to touch a sml rockchip with the Honda pen and clearcoat which I find totally useless.
I prefer a paint bottle with sml tip brush.

TouchUp Direct provides this online with a bottle and very fine brush with base, color and CC if you want to pay extra for the CC. It is pricier but I feel it will work better for me.

The Honda touchup paint is so thin when it goes on and it does not cover chips well.

Anybody ever used Touchup Direct

That's why I purchased the OEM paint. Doesn't make sense that OEM wouldn't match. I also have a pearl white Acura TL and the OEM paint for that car matches perfectly. Maybe I just got a bad batch of WOP touch-up paint.

The touch paint from Honda is horrible. Bought the crystal black for my 13 V6 EXL and didint match at all. The paint was thick which made it stick out. Did not blend in at all.
