Cheap interiors that fall apart, and damn near dangerous in a strong wind at speed. I can feel when it's windy in the Accord coupe, but I don't worry about leaving the road. The Scion feels unstable. Had a friend that ditched one as soon as possible for that reason.

Accord coupe is more practical as a daily driver (cargo room and back seat), plus you don't look like a high school or college student driving a Scion. But seriously the FRS and BRZ in stock form aren't as fast as they look. Handles amazingly though.

Frs = 2700lbs + accord coupe 3300+ while 600 pounds is a lot, I hear tons about getting blown all over the road so it must be prevalent. My precious car was a 275 hp Miata that weighted 2550 with me in it and it wasn't. that bad on the road.

Comparing an frs to an accord is like apples to oranges they are very different cars. It all depends on what you need it for. The frs is much more fun to drive but lacks in the midrange. Frs has a lot of aftermarket support as compared to the accord.

To me it's front wheel drive boat compared to rear wheel drive go kart to a point.

Also my accord is much more comfortable to drive than the miata. It's like driving a Cadillac compared to the mx5.

The Scion FRS is a poor mans wannabe Nissan 370z. Everything about it is extremely cheap and tacky in quality like Toyota used left over scrap material and reformed it into another car to squeeze out products for profits. The Accord Coupe EXL is luxurious and Honda uses the finest quality materials and engineers to build their cars so that way everything lasts a LONG time. Scions quality is a far cry from Honda's quality. Hondas should never be compared to Scions.

You better believe it. If they used crappy cheap materials like GM then Honda would not be known for their robust engineering.

The Scion was in my top 15. 200hp? nah. I don't like getting smoked by housewives in SUV's or guys in work pick up trucks. Not in a 28k "sporty car." My 4cyl Accord will out run that FR-S and it's 600lbs* heavier.

Hope they don't drop it due to poor sales. It's different from most cars on the road and has a decent look.

Might see if the Subaru interior is any better. The FRS is a Subaru BRZ sold by Scion. I haven't been inside them but the interior might be something that is different. Otherwise they are the same car.

Full fledged Japanese sports coupes don't sell in volume numbers b/c buyers go overwhelmingly domestic when it comes to straight out sports cars. So you notice one of two things happening. Either the manufacturer goes all out and makes a killer car (LFA, GT-R) that functions as a halo vehicle or they make an econo model that's pieced together and pretty crappy. The FRS/BRZ is the later. And given the sales numbers it occupies a niche where there aren't enough buyers.

The accord coupe is an exception b/c its not a full fledged sports car and it has a pretty good slot where there are enough buyers (40,000 coupes versus 400,000 sedans). So thankfully for us Honda actually produces them. If you really want a Japanese sports coupe then your best bet is the 370z but when compared to domestics offerings the 370z is overpriced.

I've heard the Accord is the poor man's BMW. All jokes aside I would not talk up Honda's interior. It's not bad, but in no way is it world's better than GM or the BRZ.

At least the Scion and the Accord Coupe are two door cars. The Germans have decided that a sporty sedan is a 'Coupe' with four doors. Other than having two doors the two cars are very different. I park next to a Scion Coupe everyday at work and the size difference is very obvious. The Scion has a kids only back seat where as the Accord Coupe back sest is comfortable for adults as long as they can bend over to get in and out. The Accord is FWD and the Scion is RWD. The sad fact is that midsize, mid priced Coupes are as scarce as hen's teeth. The manual transmission in any midsize, mid priced car is also scarce.

In the long run the four place Coupe and the manual may become the buggy whips of the 21st century. Small two sest drop tops maybe the only cars available with manual transmissions such as the Miata.

Previous BRZ owner, note "previous". It was a great car, fun and sporty, looks way better than the accord but, unless you go FI its slow. I got beat by a civic slow. that was the turning point for me. I wanted a car with more off the line grunt, so I sold the BRZ and started using my dads 7th gen v6. All I can say now is that I'm saving up for a 9th gen v6 coupe. The only downside of the accord is that you can't put loads of power into it due to the FWD layout but thats fine. The BRZ should have had awd, if it did, i might have stuck to it. Im waiting to see what honda has in store for the ciiv type R. Im trying to see what 35k can buy me LOL ;. If you go with the BRZ or FRS let me know if you have questions, i can probably answer them for you
