9th Gen Phone Mounts

Curious what you all are doing to mount your phone, particularly those of you not using a suction cup based mount. I was using the iBolt mount and the vent clip which works ok but looking for something better. Any ideas and pictures appreciated.

Thanks

Either Mountek nGroove (doesn't obscure iMID) or Kenu Airframe. I've purchased just about every kind of phone mount, and those two are the best for me. Very elegant solutions.

i usually use proclips but this time, it covers too much of vents or blocks the screen too much for my liking.. so i went with the Kenu Airframe... i mount my phone at the tip so it doesn't block vents. Very good fit and it small and doesn't stand out much.. And perfect reach from driver side..

Thanks guys. Yeh I have a Note 3 so its pretty large. The iBolt I have now works okay but the spring is super strong which is a pain going in and out. Also mounting on the driver side vent (near imid) makes it so I cant turn it to landscape mode.

I was thinking of doing the iOttie XL and mounting on the shelf area of the imid but concerned it will block some of the screen and also worried it may damage the shelf. I may trade the car in in the next couple years so want to keep her clean. Or at least if Im going to damage a part Id like to damage one I can easily replace and not too $$

Lastly, on the mountek, I see it doesnt offer a way to tighten the main flat piece. Im wondering if, over time, that will get really loose. Also wondering if my iBolt 17mm ball joint would fit right on the mountek

Thanks

what kind of phone mount are you guys using?

I was using the mountech cd phone mount, but with the exl the mount gets in the way of the touch display. So i have to figure out another mounting option. I kind of didnt want to do a windshield mount because i will be using a sunshade and will be a pain to have to keep taking off the mount and putting it back on the windshield. Just want to see what you guys are doing out there. thanks.

By far the best mount is this one on amazon

. It makes mounting your phone super easy. I put it just to the right of the display and have no issues (I have a samsung galaxy S5 that has a fairly large screen too).

Do you have any problems with the adhesive getting stuck to the car when removing, especially during really hot days? Do you have a picture of it in your vehicle? Thanks

I have yet to remove it from the car just yet but from the reviews there weren't any issues with that. I don't have any pics but I'll try to post one later.
