Is there a manual override for moonroof?

I already RTFM and it doesn't answer the question.
Did tag seach here for moonroof,moon-roof,sunroof,sun roof with nothing that answers the question either.
Google didn't do it either specifically for this MY anyway.

So fellow owners, Where is the manual override for the moonroof if the motor dies that closes the moonroof? Is there one ?

All my other cars that had moon, sun roof had a port that accepted a square drive tool that you could turn to close an open sunroof. It was included in the toolkit usually too.

It ain't broke, just wondering for future reference.

TIA

This is the only Honda I have owned which had a moon roof that didn't have the manual emergency crank port near the rear window. My wife's former Nissan Quest van also had a moon roof and it didn't have a manual method to close the roof. I guess that feature along with the coin holder compartment went the way of the Carrier pidgin, extinct.

I assume Honda illuminated that feature because they had never had a moon roof motor fail.

illuminated? Dang that apple auto correct

That's really placing bets they might not be able to back. Hope it never happens. Never has on any other car, back to 82 Buick Somerset, but I wouldn't want to find a swimming pool in the front seat during a spring frog strangler.

I'll just use the tilt feature more.

I have not seen a car built with a sunroof override port since the early 90s.

You bought a honda, nothing to worry about.

2000 Volvo S40

Truer words were never said. Oh wait....

Quick story

89 Acura Integra
CAT replaced at 8000 miles (cause: rich mixture toasted it)
Engine stumbled at stop lights still they couldn't find cause of rich running.
I found PCV valve literally broken internally into multiple pieces
Went to Acura asked to buy PCV valve
Reply was "we don't stock that part since they "NEVER GO BAD"
It did, I put any old PCV I found to get by. Really worked too.
Ordered OEM one after forcing dealer to get one.
When I returned to dealer with bad PCV valve I poured the pieces on his counter and asked for explanation.
No answer.
Drove car for 125K with no more problems.
No one should get so reliant on statistics about part reliability especially one that can leave a gaping hole in a roof.

That is all.

I said I haven't seen a car built with an override since the early 90. Knowing Volvo reliability it would need it.

Apparently your Integra experience did not sway you that much because you bought another Honda product.

Power windows don't have a manual crank so I don't see why the sunroof would need one either.

Point being nothing is totally reliable (in a low whisper...not even Honda). Honda beats all in reliability in my and most all opinions but stuff happens. A hole in the headliner to access the motor to be manually turned wouldn't be an admission of poor reliability.

Anyway nice to know so I don't waste time looking for one.

My 2000 Accord coupe has the manual crank. You could have the moon roof open and park the car only to discover the battery is dead and a rain storm was brewing when you returned to start the car. I always close my roof before turning off the engine especially in my new Accord.

Does the 2007 seven model have the auto-reverse feature and the one touch open and close? Those features may have caused Honda to eliminate the crank function.

My 90 Honda Accord LX had the driver side power window motor go bad with the window cracked a few inches (I was still a smoker back then )- had to drive it home in the rain that way. Of course the car was 8 years old by then and it wasn't a big deal - pain in the arse none the less.

Of course you are assuming that the moon roof motor, control switches and actuating system are all working.
