Exclamation 5x100 v. 5x114.3 / HELP PLZ

so i have a 06 SE with 16" stock rims. next yr i plan on giving the rims to my wife for her 05 LX.

In the mean time i bought 2 sets of winter tires (205/65 15) 1 set is for her steelies and the other set is for me. Im currently looking for steelies but for 50 bux more i can get a decent new after market rim from discounttiredirect.

Question:
the cheapest rim that will fit says the bolt pattern is a 5x100. will this fit my 06SE. i thought the accords were 5x114.3

also, theres no difference in lug patteren/offsets between her 05LX (with drums) and my 06SE (with disc brakes) correct?

I should be able to swap her steelies on my car and her car should be able to get my rims right?

thanks

I'm pretty sure both cars are 5x114.3. I don't know if 15" wheels will clear your brakes, hopefully a 7th gen owner will chime in. Your wheels should fit on her car without issue.

5x100 won't fit.

Your SE rims will fit her LX.

Yea, some steelies actually come with that configuration, my full size spare is like that.

As for clearing the brakes, ask for the specs 15" by X" with X offset

I believe stock size is 16"x7" with 55mm offset.

Using the wheel size calculator you'll have 23mm (about an inch) of additional clearance on the inside.

I think it should fit. The wheel will stick out about an extra half an inch which is not an issue on the front or rear.

I'm no wheel/tire expert and I'm learning myself.

Her steelies should fit no problem on your car. Do you own a jack and jack stands? The best way to make sure is to take a wheel from her car and test fit it on yours. Done.

Less offset gives you more clearance for brakes, it just makes the wheel stick out more.
