Yes, which is why I stated "Trust Me" in my post. Neither I nor anyone else here can tell you what you want to hear about how a specific tire will perform with YOU and your SPECIFIC driving style and environment. These are more than adequate for my driving style and environment; after all, I've only got a V6 Accord and not a performance car. Oh yeah, these Toyos are nearly identical (read the road tests on the web) to the newer Pilot Sport A/S3, but without all the advertising hype and price tag. Good luck.

I just ordered the Sumitomos; I will let you know how they do; cannot go wrong for the price and a 45K warranty

new tires are on since yesterday; first impressions:

- car rides much better (less road noice)
- improved streeting response
- 100% better wet handling
- still trying to decide on dry handling, will know better once I put a few more miles

I just had the tires for about 3 days so far:
- there are a great improvement over the Potenza’s
- 100% better wet traction, it is like night and day
- a lot quieter
- car rides smoother
- steering feels more responsive (light almost)
- dry grip has improved, i can take my usual turns a bit faster and no squealing from these tires

GREAT BUY

now I just need to wait to see if they last any longer

I have had several sets of Yokohama's on our Accords. Very satisfied. I have noticed that tire noise is a problem with some tire brands.

I second an update PLEASE! I hate the OEM tires. They are so noisy and do not grip well in corners.

For those that find this in future searches....going from your old worn out junk to ANYTHING new will most certainly result in you posting a review exactly like post #19 above. The two posters above are on to something. When YOU do your research and read reviews on the interweb (ala tirerack.com). look for reviews from people that have put 20K+ miles on the tires to weed out the obvious reviews of going from worn out junk to anything new.

I fell victim to those reviews and grabbed some falken all seasons many years ago. They were terrible in rain, snow, and ice. Replaced them with those Firestone Indy tires and couldn't believe how much better that cheap tire did. It actually did REALLY well in the snow despite being a summer tire.

My favorite by far are Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+. Never used them in the winter though

Whatever you buy, rotate them every 5-7k miles and I guarantee you will extend tread life.

My Accord came with Bridgestones, I replaced them at about 23K miles due to abnormal wear pattern on one of the rear tires. I put on Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 and have 27K on them now, I expect at least another 20K. They have been great under all conditions I encounter and I would buy them again.

You kinda have to weed out the "3 sunny day and less than 50 mile" tire reviews. One on TireRack had a guy saying he just got home from the installer and then added two paragraphs of tire review nonsense. TireRack should have hunted down that reviewer and beaten him.
