Exposed Wheel Lip Protection Options

Does anyone have any experience with lip protectors out there for wheels that have slightly or overly exposed lips?

I found these but I'm not sure if they're any good:

(these guys have a few products depending on your requirements)

Or if you guys have any other recommendations? I know this may affect the aesthetics of the wheels a bit but might be worth it if you're dropping $$$ on a new set of wheels.

I have plastic lip guards around mine and boy have they saved my life. I got it when I bought the rims because it came with the rim. Only thing with mine is that my lips are overly exposed which is how the lip protector even fit in the first place

Could you share a pic or two just to see what they look like? Also, any chance you can get the brand of them? Thanks!

so this is my lip protector. It wasn't from a certain brand...it just came with the rim when I bought it

Ahhh I see now. Those look like the ones they use for packaging and shipping purposes. So you have those on right now? My lip exposure is exactly like yours right now by the way. Funny thing is when Vossen shipped my wheels they didn't include those protectors.

I ordered some from Alloygator. Not sure if they are worth it but they didn't cost that much. It's worth a shot.

I get why you would want to use them but they kinda ruin the look of the wheel to me.

It honestly does look a little weird but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Plus you can easily slide them off when the car shows come around

Plus they don't look THAT bad on the car

I wouldn't mind using simple ones like that. Slide them on and off as you please. Did you buy your rims online or from a local shop? I wonder if they would just sell me a set of those.

I ended up canceling my Alloygator order for now.

Mind if I ask where you got them online? I'll just contact them and ask straight up if they can sell me some. I don't see any slip on/off options online. It's all glue this or hook that or deflate tire etc.

Did you manage to get the transparent slip on rim guards from the Ebay seller? Thought I'd check with you before I ask
