Just bought a 1990 Accord LX coupe with 113,000 miles (now at 115k) after deciding to part ways with 07 after 145k miles (and consuming oil). GF got the Lexus and I set off to find a nice and clean example of a 4th gen (this has always been my favorite generation of the Accord). Finding a 20+ year old car that meets my standards is not easy...but I finally came accross the 90 Accord that was being sold by the original female owner. It isn't the 93 SE that I one day hope to find, but it will do...or I'll make it an SE. Back to the good 'ole 4th gen... these cars and roaches will be around long after humans.

It will serve as my highway trip car, just as the 07 did, so the miles will rack up quickly.

Then comment on the one for all cars, this thread is supposed to be specific to the early generations. That's why its in this section. Start a different thread for your generation. Threads like this are made for comparison of similar cars, posting cars that aren't similar actually hurts the purpose of this thread. It serves no point to compare your new car to my 20+ year old car.

Getting it from the original owner is the best way to buy a used car. Its getting harder and harder to find a clean 4th gen accord. Its becoming a new car to modify for the younger generation (cb7tuner.com has some great information, but there are some awfully modified cars and some are amazing). Good luck with your new car and I hope it serves you well.

304k miles on my 95 LX 5spd. Burning a quart of oil between oil changes but just got a repaint and everything still works great. 28 mpg.

My 94 nonvtec made it to ~225 before I finally decentegrated a rod bearing. I beat the hell out of that motor too...hhaarrdd. Manual tranny ran strong until about 250k mi...now the car is totaled from a fender bender and I'm parting it out
I will miss that car

1995 Accord XLS

350,000 Miles. Serviced every 5,000 miles with 5w-30 per factory recommendation. Only have to add about 1/4 of a quart between changes. I've tried the synthetic once and seemed to increase oil consumption till the next change. Switched back to the regular oil, and no more oil use. No leaks or anything either. This is a great car!

1997 LX V6 with 305,000 miles on the original not overhauled engine and tranny, and still going strong. The only non routine repairs that I've had to do is replace the oil filter stand gasket at 290000 and the original factory alternator at 295000. I am quite confident the car can go another 100,000 miles or more

I have the most miles here as far as I can tell. 369,000. And here is a picture of my odometer.

This is on the original engine and transmission. Neither has been rebuilt. It runs great and I road race a few times a year at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings OK and I Auto Cross it several times a year as well. It smokes a little past 5k but not too bad. This is also my daily driver.

Here are a few pics from a photo shoot late last year and one of recent.

I also have a 91 that I drive regularly as well. It has 245,000 miles and is an automatic.

The 90 is coming up on 117k miles... I'm really missing that arm rest, I'll be swapping seats pretty soon. I'd also really like to find a set of those original foglights...
