Talking Installed: ZEX EFI Wet Nitrous System, Model # 82021

Hey Guys,

Finally Installed my ZEX EFI wet Nitrous system Model #82021 which is controlled by Throttle Response.

Install Difficulty level: 5
Install Difficulty level W/video: 2

The only thing you need that is given in the kit but are to small are new Bolts. The bolts included in the kit are 5/16x1inch, they are to small for our cars you need to head to HomeDepo and get some 5/16x2inch bolts. That's it..

I am running a 55shot, with (2) 10lbs bottles. Dyno will coming Sept. 11 which is my Dyno Day.. ..

Have to say this is by far the best mod i have done to my car.. The power difference is just great, worth every penny. I feel safe running the 55shot, will not be going any higher than that since our car don't have any tuning. I will be ordering and running 2 level colder Spark plugs. Really Love the power on 3rd gear, finally the car pulls really hard on our worst gear.

I will be getting video's of Each gear pull with VS. to No nitrous.

Have to say Thanks to MARK ThrowdownPerformance.com like always great service, and also getting what i need

Here is the install Video.

Looks like you did a great job on the install, but I didn't notice any blow down tubes for your nitrous bottles. Shouldn't they have those for safety reasons? I haven't dealt with Nitrous in years so maybe things change and the kits are made safer, but I was just curious is all.

The install seems pretty ghetto. BTW, the tool youre looking for is a "tap wrench"... about $12 at sears. Also that's a 1/8" NPT tap (pipe threads). The tap is tapered, as are all the NPT pipe fittings. To insure proper threads, the tap needs to be tightened securely in the tap wrench, and the tap held perpendicular to the hole. Also for any tap of that size, tapping fluid should certainly be used, and using the wrong drill is also a recipe for bad or weak threads.

They have Blow Down kit's, which i haven't bought yet. But the kit are safer now, but it's still something i am going to invest in. Also Dual Purge kit to relieve the pressure/nitrous from the lines once i'm doing spraying that way the lines don't stay under pressure.

To me the Install by far nothing close to Ghetto.

Thanks for the Part for the Tap. Well what i used came out perfect and it is perfect threading..

Never really dug nitrous, but I could see it being fun since you're running it pretty safely it seems. Thanks for sharing the DIY!

Some guy installed a multiport NOS nossle setup on his MDX spacer a year or so on his 8th gen. Donno if it was an automatic, but it made removing easy.

I would think you could get away with 75+ with variable pressure system or dual staged jets. This way you don't hit so hard all at once.

Yeah i know, my P2R Throttle body spacer has a Nitrous port/Screw. But ZEX said to mount it 6 inchs away from the throttle body..

Yeah there is a guy on ******** forums called Cooperjooper than has been running nitrous 75shot for 6 months now, with 4 total bottles used without any problems. But i am going to stay in the Safe zone until i can tune the car..
