Get ready for your insurance to go up. I had about the same $$ of damage after getting hit by a texting driver and once renewal was up, my insurance went up too. (and the accident wasnt even my fault)!!
I couldnt believe insurance wanted to pay about 5900$ for a car that had a KBB of about ($6000) It was at almost 100% of the value of the car?! Made no sense to me.

I switched companies. (Allstate to Metlife)

I am sorry that happened. Good thing no one is hurt.

Looks like the hood is bent as well.

What kind of tires are you using, btw? Looks like all-season to me, but I could be wrong.

I think you should consider some proper winter tires then. They really help.

Getting winter tires were actually one of my first thoughts when I freed up my factory steel wheels in the fall (along with R-Compounded tires for summer driving but that obviously make no sense since I don't track my car or anything). Getting winter tires definitely would've paid off considering the deductible + increase in premium is going to be far higher than buying and mounting a set of winter tires.
