Battery for LX-P i4

I am looking into getting a new battery and read some of the past threads on batteries and came up with size 51R and 31R. I am thinking of getting a 51R interstate since this will be the easiest change. Everything on my car is stock, oem anti theft. I live in NYC and LI.

Do you think it's better for me to get the 31R? This will prob involve more stuff as I doubt it will fit properly. What parts do I need to make a 31R fit nicely? Part numbers would be nice.

Thanks guys!

According to the Interstate Batteries application guide, you want an MT-51R (if it's a manual) or an MT-35 (if it's an automatic). Both of these batteries should fit, without any issues.

If your in NYC with PZEV emissions (AT5 ) the 35R is decent size, its bigger than 51R .

Mine is Automatic. So the Interstate site is saying it's a 35? I thought all LX i4's are 51. Anyone can confirm? I don't know too much about batteries.

take out the spacer and get an adult battery vs the toy they put in the I-4's . Any group 24 will work fine.

no, the 2.4L PZEV honda accord use group 35 all the rest use 51R, which is small size, like in Civic .

I have a LX PZEV with OEM group 35 battery

Really? Autozone and Advance Auto Parts is pulling up 51R. I guess the only way to confirm is with a tape measure. It would be nice if it was 35 (then I don't have to buy anything else, except the battery).

You have same yr as me, make.model . just look at your battery, its marked on it on left top " group 35" sticker .
Just tell them its group 35 and make sure positive/negative is positioned right .

Yes, autozone battery search is not right, so put in EX 2.4 for group 35, then you get "640 cold cranking Amps (800 cranking Amps) "
