Whats your Coupe's V6 w/auto 0-60mph?

I'm seeing 6.3 on Edmund's but with a 6 speed. I guess you could add a full second to that with an auto. What i don't get is the Altima sedan is quiker with the same size engine. I'm confused.

the altima is a lighter vehicle.... i think. as far as 0-60 i've never tried to do that in my car...a measurement like that is of no use to me.

The Honda Accord is as American as Apple Pie

The only issue is that every test like that produces different numbers. Car and Driver recorded a 5.6. Motortrend had a 5.8 i believe.

I don't think that I have ever seen an Auto coupe being testing for anything though.

If I recall correctly, Motortrend had a 6.5 for the Auto sedan, so I would imagine that a coupe would at least be able to pull that off. Because of weight it might be slightly faster...

Altima V6 Auto has a CVT transmission. That could make it faster than the Accord V6 Auto because it uses conventional gearbox. If you notice in a video on YouTube, you'll see that when you step on the gas in the Altima, the RPM's rise and then stay until you let go of the gas, as opposed to the Accord which shifts gears during the 0-60 run.

Also, do not buy the V6 Auto for performance reasons. You are better off getting the 6MT. It's a totally different feel. If you don't know how to drive stick ... LEARN, it'll be so worth it.

Many things will affect acceleration times besides engine size. Things like vehicle weight and gearing will also have a big affect.

A 2009 Nissan Altima 3.5SE MT weighs a little more than a 2009 Honda Accord Coupe V6 MT. It also has slightly more torque.

BTW - Car and Driver lists the Nissan Altima 3.5SE sedan has having a 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds. That's slower than a Honda Accord EX-L V6 coupe (5.6 seconds). Both cars with a MT.

My V6 sedan has gotten consistent 6.4-6.6 using g-tech. Seems like the coupe would be a little quicker-maybe 6.1-6.2
