An absolute steal right now (just like the uber-performing Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R which is also on clearance). Nothing more, nothing less. . .

There are numerous better choices than the General Tire Exclaim UHP at or near identical price-point. This particular tire is very mediocre, IMHO. When I generally (no pun intended) make a suggestion, it's usually based on some insight & experience. It's never a random/whimsical mention just for the sake of posting. . .

New TPMS sensors need to be reprogrammed, as I stated in my previous post (admittedly it was a late edit that you may have missed).

Use the search for all these & numerous other topics. ~$1500 for your package deal is a lot more than I would personally pay for what all your getting. That's why I suggest you become more well-versed on stuff before you over-pay for stuff. . .

G'luck...
Point taken! Well I'm in the market for a summer tire. I know that RS-A is an all season, which is also a reason why i'm not into it. So, of the top of your head, what else in the 125 - 150 price point is there thats better?

How much tread-life you wish for (ie. ballpark range in terms of miles)? Anticipated size(s)? Plans to lower w/ springs, performance suspension, or coilovers? Rain/cold-weather driving?

I have a few tires in mind at/near/below the $125-$150 price range that'll out-perform the General Tire Exclaim UHP & offer better tread-life.

BTW, what color is your 8th gen' Accord 6-6 coupe?

I would like 25k-30k miles (easy miles, definitely not burning rubber at stop light miles).

My size I want to leave stock as much as possible, so:

1) 235/45/18
2) 245/45/18 ( this size doesn't mess with the speedo much, so its acceptable)

My coupe is T. W. ... and No suspension modifications now or in the future at all. The ride is firm enough for me as it is.

Okie... I never ever had tires last that long, evarrr!

But, I got a few ideas, lemme let all this marinate in the noggin' & see what I can come up w/!

BTW, if your General Tire Exclaim UHP can offer you 25k-30k miles... I think that'd be beyond expectations (for an ultra high-performance summer tire); if that does happen, kudos to you!

haha ... i never had summer tires, so i don't know. However, i've had Bridgestone RE960AS and they lasted 33k to 35K .. it was a while ago, so i don't remember. I know its all season tire, but it was a very good one.

Hmm, I posted all that stuff about the tire and wheel weights but never commented on the wheels. I like them, I think they will look good on the car. I had Enkei's on my previous car and on my ex's Integra. I liked them a lot. They didn't weigh a lot, and my ex who was drawn to potholes at 45 MPH never managed to bend one on either car so they seem to be pretty strong. Granted, AZ potholes are nothing like the potholes in much of the rest of the country, so your mileage may vary.

Those rims look a lot like the BBS RC rims that I had on my Passat. They were $469 each so the Enkei is looking like a real winner.

Thanks! I'd like to think that I know where to find value. BTW, Osiris, I was on tire rack and found some Bridgestone RE-01 tires on clearance, but I think they may be too much of a summer performance tire for me.

I've been looking at TSW wheels. Is that a reputable company?

I am liking those EMK3 wheels. They have them in 18x8 +40. Which color would go best with a PMM coupe Gunmetal or Hyper Silver? I am thinking gunmetal would match the PMM well.

Yes it would. I want someone to photoshop the 2 wheels i have up in the 1st post of this thread. I don't know whether to go with hyper silver EKM3's or the O.Z. Canyons in Silver. I don't know whether a fatter 5 spoke is gonna look good on a TW coupe.

If you goto Tirerack you can view your car with the wheels on. Quite neat. You can also pick the color of your car.
