Spark Plugs. Denso vs NGK

Hello,

I have a 2008 Accord LX-P which needs a spark plug change.
Checking the service manual I see it calls for:

Non PZEV
NGK: ILZKR7B-11S
Denso: SXU22HCR11S

PZEV
NGK: DILZKR7A11GS

The car was originally sold in GA (still here) so I'm pretty sure it is not PZEV.
Should I buy NGK or Denso spark plugs?
I see "DENSO" brand in a lot of the electrical components of the car; does this indicates the car comes with Denso spark plugs originally?

Local "Advance Autoparts" and "O'Reilly Auto" stores sells the Denso and NGK parts around $13 - $14.
I called the dealer and they said sparks plugs are $29.50 each
I didn't ask which part-no they are selling for my car though.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
R.

Denso is the parent company of NGK so you can't go wrong with them

Pull one out and see what it is.... It's probably NGK. With spark plugs on Honda I always use the OEM plugs. So I vote: NGK.

I'm new to accords but I've had many Hondas before and been in the scene a long time and the only aftermarket ignition parts that go well with Hondas is NGK. I have used NGK spark plugs on every honda I have owned or worked on.

I think it might vary by region? For instance, I'm in the Middle East and all they ever use is NGK for spark plugs on Hondas. I would imagine in North America for instance you might have Denso in one state and NGK in another, or both? Like someone said earlier Denso is the parent company. I'd say you're good either way.

It might just be NGK has better distribution in the mideast than Denso.

Thanks everyone for your answers.

I called 2 dealers in the area and their prices are from mid 20's to mid 30's for spark plugs.
One one them was very informative and said if not PZEV they sell the Denso SXU22HCR11S; If PZEV then they sell the NGK DL...
Another dealer just said Accord LX-P calls for NGK DILZKR7A11GS

I check my engine number and according to the service manual my engine is NOT PZEV. Not sure why the sales rep. was insisting Accord LX-P call for DILZKR7A11GS.

So it seems that my options are either:

DENSO:

OR

NGK:

Thanks,
R.

I think you are mistaken. Toyota is the parent company of Denso. NGK is not affiliated with either Toyota or Denso.
