Oil Filter Recommendation

I'm using Mobil1 and changing out every 5k. 15k-20k of driving per year. What oil filters are you guys using? I was checking out mobil but seem the EP is the only filter they have.

I like Purolator PureOne. If those are not on sale, I get the regular Purolator. On bobistheoilguy.com, a lot of people swear by Napa Gold (WIX) filters.

wouldn't reccomend fram, I've used them
in the past and had the seal break or come loose twice and friends had it happen as well. Now I use Bosch. When those fram
seals broke I had finished the change started the car heard gurggling, step out of my car to find myself standing in an oil puddle

OP - looks like you're changing oil 3 or 4 times per year. In that case, I wouldn't shoot for such a high end filter. They won't be on your car very long.

There is nothing wrong with . They're about $5.50 each. I recently changed oil and tried a . K&N is about 2x the price of OEM. The nice thing is that K&N has a welded nut on the end, which makes it easier to remove w/o a filter wrench.

Just bought 6 PureOne filters from Amazon for about $30 delivered. Won't last long sonce we have four cars using the same model filter.

Amsoil filter tested good for 25k or one year,, amsoil oil 0w30 good for 15k plus, I use this set up on all my cars,,, 4 are Honda Mfg products. On my Acura CL-S (175k miles)I had my oil analyzed after 10k miles on oil. It nearly had the same parameters as NEW petro oil. Amsoil is a system for extended drain intervals. Cost is about even if you leave it in there for 15k miles. There are other mechcanical benefits to Amsoil PAO based oil. see / learn about true PAO based synthetic's.

I just mobil 1 oil since my car was new, just get the OEM oil filter and washer and you will be good to go. My pops has an 05 6/6 coupe that he bought new, now with 180k and he's used the same combo.

My brother has 1999 TL with 260k miles. Still running strong. He used whatever is cheap at the moment oil changes (at dealerships, firestone, around the corner shop, etc). The key is regular oil changes and not what you use, IMO.

Bosch is pretty good, works just as good as the $10+ Mobil 1. Got mine for $6-7. For me, it's more readily available than Purolator.
