I find these polls interesting and many are still relevant, even if the thread has been inactive for some time.

There's nothing scientific about these polls, but with my social science background, it should be no wonder that I'm entertained by them at the very least.

When I was a kid (1940's) there was no grounding. What could they ground you from? We had no TV's, no computers and we weren't old enough to drive. We got a whipping with a switch which we picked from our back yard.
