8th GEN. I4- WHAT GRADE GAS DO YOU USE

Do you use regular
mid grade

premium

Notting my experience, with mid-grade gas there is a slight increase in performance, resulting in more MPG.

Obvuously not an 8th gen or I4 and don't know why, but I figure middle grade is the best of both worlds, alittle more premium than regular but not as high grade as 92+ and not as pricey! Always have done it this way for years with all my vehicles, could be a waste but hey there was a time that i filled up with regular and got a tank full of watered down gas ....

I also experimented with premium and never really saw any difference to be honest, now use super super premium like the gas you can score trackside 105+ or something and throw in a bottle of performance additive and wow (tried this on my old GTI) thing was like a rocket on the way home lol ...

I am not a high roller, so I use the lowest octane - regular 87

Have used it for 26k miles so far with no problems.

93 octane. $2.00 more per tank does not make difference...

I wonder how many gas stations offer the same grade in all of the pumps so they can save money. Fraudulant practices are not uncommon in business.

2007 Accord V6 Coupe A/T with Honda chrome HFP 18" wheels and low profile Yokahama tires, drop in K&N filter, Mobil 1, K&N oil filter and 30% tint.

With all the places that sell gas, supermarkets and many less common name places,it is a very good reason to use mid grade gas. It helps insure the minimum octane needed.

regular because i do not drive a v6, and do not need the extra octane.

i do however try to fill up with shell or chevron and 76. the cleaner the gas, the meaner the car, i guess. sometimes i grab some costco gas, im a member, so might as well, plus the costco gas comes from all kind of refineries and they add their on detergents.

I use mid-grade. The pick-up is noticeable if you know engines.
