I voted No before I read the first post, can't take it back now. doh.
The marketing Dept gets a fail in my books yes. They are not doing this car any justice. The car itself is not a marketing fail IMO.
I came over as a loyal VW guy because of the 10G. I was initially cross shopping 9G Touring, New Camry V6 XSE, CPO 2016-17 Audi S3 and new/CPO MK7 Golf R(even though it really wasn't an option I just couldn't let my roots go). Once I saw the first 10G review on Redline Reviews it joined the fray, instantly knocking the 9G out of contention, from that point on it looked too dated compared to the 10G. Test drove the V6 XSE, hated it. Test drove the S3 LOVED it, but wasn't as practical as I needed it to be. The 10G tickled all my spots, and here I am.
They need to get people in the dealers door to sit and drive it, the car will do the rest.
The commercials I've seen are just plain bad. The "Never Settle" commercial where it's driving around on that weird elevated road with gold statues is horrible.
