Boost gauge in sport mode

So, the owners manual says there is a digital boost gauge while in sport mode. But, I am I correct that the stick shift Sport model doesn't have a sport mode, only the Automatic? That would be very stupid since people that drive stick would probably rather see that more than Auto drivers. Also, no digital speedometer.? How can these be overlooked.

I think you are correct, videos of manual sport don't show a sport mode button.
The HUD has digital speed, but I found it odd with all the customization on the gauges that it wasn't available there also.

I love the idea of a boost gauge. In the GTI world, there are a few attractive aftermarket gauges that mount inside the left air supply (duct) or on the steering wheel column. (Do a quick internet search for photos.) I'd imagine aftermarket gauges will be available for the Accord in short time. It seems like a nice upgrade to me.

The Civic Si and Type R have a boost gauge, but it's largely just a toy. If anything, you might end up being disappointed when you see that you're not getting full, advertised boost. And, less than expected indication of boost pressure doesn't mean there is a problem.

Can anyone who gets the Sport model 1.5 or 2.0 Manual Transmissions comment as to whether the Boost gauge appears or not in the display? I'm just curious if it comes with it.

From what I can piece together from the owner's manual and Honda's website, it appears only Accords with the 2.0T engine and 10AT transmission get the "Sport Mode Indicator/Turbo Boost Meter" - no manuals, CVTs, or 1.5Ts.

It's not available on the LX/EX which come only as a 1.5T/CVT.
It shows to be available on the Sport, EX-L, and Touring.
The Sport comes as a 1.5T/6MT, 1.5T/CVT, 2.0T/6MT, and 2.0/10AT.
The EX-L and Touring come as a 1.5T/CVT and 2.0/10AT.

The only powertrain combinations in common with the Sport, EX-L, and Touring are the 1.5T/CVT and 2.0/10AT and since the 1.5T/CVT combination in the LX/EX doesn't have the turbo boost gauge, that seems to leave only the 2.0T/10AT combination as having the feature.

EDIT: The Owner's Manual indicates that some CVT-equipped models have Sport Mode (and thus the turbo boost gauge?). The CVT comes only with the 1.5T. At this point, it seems that the feature may be tied to models with paddle shifters which would exclude models with the manual transmission. Very confusing!

Not true at all. I bought a 2.0T Manual Sport and it doesn't have sport mode or a boost gauge. I'm very disappointed......

And yet you still bought the car so it couldn't be that much of a disappointment.

Take it back, you have 30 days to trade it for something else with no penalty. I traded a 34 day old 2018 Civic Si in on the 2.0T manual cause I wasn't happy with it. Never even drove the Accord until I picked it up. Never driven any car I've bought from the dealership actually. 3 new cars in 5 years, never had an issue. And just not having the boost gauge won't sway me from buying a car, just disappointed is all

2.0 6MT here. I can confirm that it does NOT have the boost gauge or digital speedometer in mph. It does however have a digital speedometer in kph.

2.0T 10 Speed Touring here. I do have the boost gauge. I think Ive turned it on twice. Not sure how useful or important it is honestly. Just grab the wheel tight, mash the throttle, and let the motor do its thing.

Anything that makes it harder to quickly read the tach in the MT under hard acceleration is no Bueno in my book. If they want to give us MT owners that feature in the middle black void, then Id be all for it.

1.5 sport has it. Shows up in the tach when you push the sport mode button.
