Timing Belt/Chain?

I've looked and didn't see a replacement for the timing belt.
My 2003 Accord Coupe has 108K so I checked in at a Honda dealer close to work for my 110K service, the manager said the 2003-2005 I-4 engines had a timing chain. Is this true, and how many miles are they good for???

This is indeed true. The chain is supposed to last the life of the engine, but only time will tell. I wouldn't worry about it, Honda throughly test their engines before they produce them. That's alotta miles! I can't wait to see how well the 7th gens hold up. :-).

So in a nutshell, just change the oil/filter, air filter and cabin filter for the first 110,000 miles and brakes, batteries, etc. as needed. In addition to the tune-up and fluid replacements at 110 & 120k miles, I'd also replace the water-pump. I'll probably replace my serpentine belt at around 60k miles and the radiator hoses when I do the tune-up. Everything else will be as needed.

<<But would this be applicable to an '06 too?>>

<<Is this true, and how many miles are they good for???>>

2003+ 4-cylinders have a timing chain, and it is good for the life of the engine (or at least up to 500,000 miles) as they do stretch over time.

The V6s still have a belt.

Thank you Steven! Even though I know Honda wants us 06 and 07 owners to go by the maintenance minder system, it's always nice to have everything in a cut and dry format as the MM can get confusing at times.

What are some thoughts on replacing fluids such as the coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, etc? I have 40k on my Accord and was thinking of replacing all these fluids when my vehicle's serviced next week. I spoke to a Service Advisor at my dealership and they agreed with me on draining and refilling the coolant. They said the brake fluid shouldn't need replaced - they'd look at it and if it appeared ok they wouldn't mess with it. Interesting because I've never had a dealership tell me something shouldn't be done. I figure the stuff breaks down over time and I'm planning on having this car at least another 2 years. What about power steering fluid - what the replacement interval on it? I've already decided on replacing the transmission fluid every 15k (initially replaced 3 quarts 30k) and will replace the filter at 45. Oil and filter are replaced every 5k and tires rotated every 10k. Is there anything else I'm missing besides the inspections Steve laid out?
Thanks

I replace the coolant every two years, mainly because on my Diesel the heater matrix is made of ally and if the coolant gets to acidic it may-will cause leaks! I will do the Accord as well as its so easy and cheap to change it's not worth taking any risks..

I also service-clean and copper grease the brakes front and back, easy to do if you already have the wheels off for a diaginal swop..

Question on the oil and filter

I've always been confused w/ the oil and filter maintenance in the 2003-2005 Accord. I have a 2004 Accord i4 auto myself. It says to replace the engine oil at 10k, engine oil filter at 20k, and then the engine oil at 30k, and this cycle repeats. So (after the first 10k miles), the oil and filter are lasting 20k each? Is that normal?

Whats Honda's recommendation for the Serpentine Belt? They do not show a maintenance schedule for it.
