The longer you wait to debadge, the more attached the adhesive will be to the clearcoat. Heating it up helps a lot.

See...back in the day

We too the stuff off our cars so no one knew it was an SS, 5.0 or whatever HP badging they put on your car at the time. Kept the law off your tail, plus when you blew off someone at a stop light with your "box stock" car it was always a laugh.

Now I just do it because it makes the car look better, and if you don't know what an Accord is...too bad for you.

Funny story; cop pulls me over, I'm in the car and he's giving me crap, asks me "what kind of car is that?"...it was a CR-V without the badging...duh!

SOLD
NO MORE Accord

'Debadge' to me suggests removing the Honda logo from the trunk, but I've noticed it means different things to different people. What does it mean to you??

I took the Accord and LX badges off the back of mine before dipping it again; and I think I'm gonna just keep them off. I also took the rear H off but I popped that back in the holes because they don't cover up as easy as the spot where the badges were glued on.

I don't know if holes behind the logo is a issue with the newer models, but I prefer to leave the logo intact, and identify the model with the license plate frame. I did the same thing with my 2001 Acura CL-S.

Debadge looks better IMO

Some cars have quite a bit of lettering on the back

I didnt do it for a long time because I didnt care that much. But even though I wash my car fairly regularly there were dirt stains forming in the letters so I finally just removed them. Very happy without them

I relative of mine debadged and rebadged his Ford Freestar with a BMW badge, no kidding. He also put it on the hood, just like on a real one. Looked raw!

IMHO badges mess up the clean, symmetrical look that I like. The first thing I did when I got my new '16 Accord Sport was remove the ugly dealer stickers and license plate frames. Then I got some dental floss, cut off the badges and cleaned up the adhesive residue with some Goo Gone.

'16 Accord Sport CVT i4 Lunar Silver Metallic 1K mi
> debadged / oem splash guard kit & cargo tray
'00 Odyssey EX Granite Green Metallic 154K mi
> debadged / oem splash guard kit & cargo tray

Gone, but not forgotten...
'07 Accord SE Alabaster Silver Metallic / traded in at 119K mi
'87 Civic Sedan Paisley Red Metallic / totaled at around 60K mi
'72 Civic Platinum Silver Metallic rusted to oblivion at around 60K mi
