You must remove the computer and send it to JET. They program it according to the information you provide them.

Don't bother. Our Accord's ECU (7th gen) are too "smart" for performance chips or reflashes. You might get that performance but the ECU will get "pissed" off and revert back to the way it was prior to the chipping. I forgot where I got the source from but I wouldn't take the risk.

So you are saying Hondadata reflashes don't work ?
The are even coming out with Kpro dual ECU for DBW models.
Who knows if they do new TSX they may do Accords too.

According to JET they unsolder parts and solder new ones in their place custom tuned to your modifications. A phone call to JET will explain it all instead of guessing.

Yeh, it sounds like since they don't have reprogramming code to reflash each manufacturers ECU, they just replace the chip with there data/maps

Honda ECU's can not be flashed or reprogrammed with a "chip" like GM cars (according to what I read ). Their computers are different from other makers.
That is what was explained to me when I called JET.

They are reprogrammable, the factory reflashes updates when needed (This is what I meant by they don't have code to reflash stock ECU, Honda is not going to let that out).
I think what they meant is its not socketed chip in ECU, meaning its soldered in and can not easily be replaced like many US cars (E prom).

IMHO, the main problem is that JET and others, just haven't been able to get their hands on the PCM code.
There's nothing that terribly unique about a Honda PCM. They are afterall OBDII compliant by federal law, just like all cars sold in the U.S. and as such can be flashed through the OBDII port like any other car.
Problem is, getting your hands on the code in the HOnda PCM. Must be difficult.

Heck I can't even find anyone that can give me the pinout for the 08 Honda PCM, calling out signal name and general parameters. I don't need to know the code for what I need to do, I just want to know what signal is received or sent from what pins.

You got it. I pulled many an ECU from GM cars and replaced the
"chip" with an upgraded one from JET. Honda apparently does not have plug in modules like the older GM's did, thus the soldering iron.

I know people who have had positive experiences with JETs products and some with not so positive experiences. One friend of mine had his car running great for about a month after installing his JET modified ECU then it started idling from 2k RPM to almost stalling. The car ran fine for the first month and while he claimed to feel a difference in performance, i couldn't tell. He ended up going back to stock.

Don't waste your money on these. I was thinking about getting a performance chip too, but it looks like these things don't do crap. I was reading about it, and it looks like these things don't work at all
