I'm merely stating from experience, and I do state once again that the car does feel lighter when it's rolling down the road.

Probably like I said- thinner and less tire thickness on the road between wheel and pavement probably is creating this feeling, but definitely it is way much looser and lighter.
I wouldn't say that the wheel feels lighter, but none the less it would feel different:

Stock: 215/55 tires
Current Setup: 235/45 tires

you're losing a little bit of comfort by switching to a lower sidewall but gaining traction by having wider tires but the difference isn't too drastic, the rest is a placebo effect

going with a lower profile tire that is only 1cm wider is 3 lbs heavier? Is it a 2-ply vs 1-ply sidewall? I doubt it, since my stock Michelin 17s are already 2-ply sidewalls. Doesn't make any sense to me, esp with the same tire brand/type.

The shorter and stiffer sidewall of a lower profile tire can improve steering response by reducing the steering input time from wheel to tire (i.e. less bending and flexing of sidewall when you turn). I think that's what you're trying to describe.

Extra reinforcement of sidewall. Low profile tires need a stronger/stiffer sidewall. Extra reinforcement = more weight

Re-used my old tires, going to switch over to 245/40/19 all-around....or try 265/35/19 all around and take out that fat spacer . I'm convinced the rears can fit this...the front can probably fit it with camber work and fender roll.

still deciding on the right wheels

Choosing the right wheels is hard. It can make or break the car. What do you think?

Silver gets my vote. The protruding black spokes look weird, too much contrast with the lip.

Nice. I like it better than the previous wheels (too aggressive IMO). Rear still has more camber than I like. How about a 10 or 15mm spacer?

I'm looking to get some used rims for mounting snow tires on for my wife 2013 sport model. Will rims off older accord or civics models fit? Looking for 16's. I really don't care about how good they will look since they will only be on in the snowy winter months.
