Ouch! Scraped my new 2016 touring rim already....

Over 30 years of driving and never have I curb rashed a rim and finally it happened on my 3 week old Accord touring....

Man those 19 rims really stick out close to the edge!

Any recommendations to get it fixed in the Toronto area?

TIA!

Ouch - if ask a local body shop as they would know.... Likely 1-200$?

One reason I went lx- I'd have done the same thing and am used to a truck that can just drive over any curb. Lol

I'm sure you'll get it fixed back to new.

Very easy fix, youtube videos on curb repair. Basically take a metal file and work on it until the gouges are gone. Then get some wet sand paper to clean up the scratches from the file, work your way up from like 180grit, 250, 300 etc. You'll do a better job doing it your self than the wheel repair shops because they take a lot of the metal off using a DA sander. There are some shops that will re cut the lips using a lathe but those are for the really damaged wheels yours is minuscule. Besides if you plan of replacing the rim what do you have to lose... like 30mins of your time.

Thanks for the link 08EX-L!

Looks like I am going to get it refinished since it is cheaper and the damage is very minor.

Got the snows on already so have all winter to do this...
