So I was at my Acura dealer this morning

The wife picked up a nail in the rear tire of the RDX and my tire insurance just got me tire #2.

While there I looked at the new generation TLX A Spec.
Very, very nice!
Though, like the new Accord, I find the center console boring and kind of cheap looking.Just something about the push button shifting and cup holder look.
The Sport seats were very comfortable.

I was talking to my salesman and the GM and was told that Acura will be keeping the V6.

I can't wait to test drive an Accord turbo 2.0 with a manual. Once they come in this fall, I'm going to!

If the TLX gets replaced with a Civic / Accord based version it will too lose the V6

Using the 1.5T instead of the 2.4L would make sense.
I believe they were talking about the V6 staying in the lineup in everything that has a V6 now.

For whatever reason I feel the acuras are bad value for money. A fully loaded accord gets you most of the toys anyway and the design language is a bit more agreeable

The biggest problem with the TLX indeed is the Accord

and that's one reason why you won't see an AWD Accord.
Maybe the only way we get an AWD Accord is if there's an AWD Camry.

Yes and that's a shame and may cost Honda sales.

Anyone who wants a Camry and enjoys the handling qualities of an old Buick, go for it. No one has test driven the new Accord so let's not assume its performance will be good, bad or indifferent. Yes, you can buy a V6 Acura TLX. Yes, Acura TLX models 2015 - 2017 have had issues. I've test driven two 2018 TLXs and they were awesome. But that's just MHO.

The Camry SE was designed to be cross shopped with the Accord

Acura does have a dilemma with the TLX. Look at the August sales

Even with the new 2018 refresh out, the sales are down compared to last year.

It sure will. Acuras in the past have always used a few years old Honda platforms, and then hang on to old platforms on the back end. I guess by that time, all the bugs have been worked out. And Acura is the best of of the best Honda.

Then again, Acura now has to innovate and be new, so it's lead to all sorts of issues.

Acura could surprise us. J35 Twin Turbo V6? Got to compete with the Infiniti Red, no?

I doubt it. Not sure if there's enough room to do that on a transversely mounted v6.
