Estimated cost of AUX input install and aux power?

Has anyone paid to get this done?

It looks pretty easy but I don't have the time or any place to do it on my own. I'll supply the parts.

I'll want an aux power in different spots to plug in a GPS, tablet or radar detector.

Should I even consider Best Buy or Fry's?

Are you asking, for an AUX input for your radio? or a power supply for your car to plug this stuff in? Why not just use your cigarette lighter 12v supply?

Aux input for an MP3 player of some sort. With a USA Spec brand iPod/MP3 Interface or something similar.

For the power, maybe one near the rear view mirror and one near the drivers tweeter next to windshield.

I can do this by myself but I am a procrastinator and will never get it done.

They sell Install Cards for $50 for a Aux install. Thats not bad if thats how much it is.

It's very easy to take apart the dash/compartment to get to the back of the radio to install an AUX adapter like that - I had mine taken apart in less than 10 minutes. There's a how-to online if you need help, plus videos on YouTube. All you really need is your fingers and a Philips screwdriver

If you go to Best Buy or similar, I guarantee they're going to charge you at least $50-100 and will take much more of your time than if you'd just DIY.

Just my $0.02

Just install a head unit and install it to the cubby hole with a kit. 106.34$ on amazon shipped to my door. Do your own installation. It's easy, and then you not only have aux, but you have 2 usb's and Bluetooth, not to mention the 50 watts it also puts out and you learn something!

I called my local auto audio car place, and asked them how much it would cost to put in a Aux cord into the pocket of the car and they quoted me at 150$. Think like 100$ for the part and 50$ for labour, but I figure i'm just gonna buy a blitzsafe aux on ebay and install it myself, saves 50$ i think it only takes about 30 minutes to an hour of your time if you know what your doing, but there is a lot of DIY videos and instructional PDF's online.

Yeah, I'm going to do it myself. I went to Best Buy yesterday to pick up a Garmin gps and I was not impressed with the staff.

I don't want to install a headunit for security reasons. I want to make the inside look as stock as possible. I always keep that cubby hole opened.
