if i drive conservative, w/o AC (nice spring days), 30/70 city/highway i can get aprox 30mpg

if i drive aggressive, with A/C (hot summer days), 30/70, i get aprox 23.

i fill up when the red light goes on...so about 14gallons and last time it was

these are just rough numbers haven't gotten all anal about it. seems driving style and if A/C compressor is running has alot to do with MPG.

remember the mpg city/highway reported on your automobile is "best case scenerio" in most instances.

SEARCH THE FORUMS FOR MPG. This topic has been discussed many times over. Who cares, really? If you drive with a lead foot, you get lousy mileage. If you drive conservatively, you will get good mileage.

hey, after reading abunch of the other forums on here I did this myself. Ended up with about 32 miles a gallon in my 05 I4. this included a number of hypermiling efforts, drove it to about 430 miles before my fear of the fuel light overcame me.

Even with OEM plugs with 100,000 miles logged: just tanked up (75% highway) calculated 31.75 MPG. That equates to about 520/tank (with 1/2 gallon reserve)

No complaints.

I never really went all the way until the light shows. But whenever I feel like it's about to light up, it's around 480-500.

Best I've gotten with my '04 6-6 is 415 miles goin from PA up to Plymouth, NH, then I got nervous and filled up and it still had like atleast 2 gallons left in the tank, so it came out somewhere around 29 mpg(and thats still doin my usual 80+ mph).

It depends, and as such, doesn't matter.
What matters is the mpg. My last tank was a record for a non-long trip.
I got 426 miles, put 14.13 gallons in, and returned 30.14 in mixed driving (very little city driving, by which I mean driving in the big city of Chicago).
I've seen as little as 290 miles (when my car spent some time in a body shop) and as much as 426 miles.
Start calculating your MPG. It's easy math but if you hate math and have a smart phone, download an app to do it for you (I use a free app called 'road trip LE').
Here's the formula - miles driven/gallons consumed = mpg. Fill your car up and reset your trip odometer. Drive. Next time you fill up, note the number of miles you've driven and divide that number by the number of gallons it takes to fill the car up.
You should get anywhere from 21 - 31 mpg. According to fueleconomy.gov, the average of reported owners is 28.1 mpg. Anywhere near that is good. My average (over the last 4,687) is 27.43.

Frankly, even though this forum has a lot of very nice people, the few bad apples around here have gotten on my nerves. I simply don't care enough to log on and try and help others when all too frequently, I get mocked or made fun of.

Winter = 30/27
Summer = 34/31

I've calculated my overall "lifetime" average in my 04 Accord 2.4 to be 30mpg.

My work commute is 25 miles of mostly highway but I often encounter rush hour traffic. Otherwise its running around in the town and area I live. Vast mix of driving conditions.

'05 V6 5AT Sedan
34.5+ mpg on a constant basis
500+ miles until fill up and still have ~3-4 gallons left in my tank

I do always add 1.1 gallons after the initial click and this is with 95% highway driving at 60 mph using CC and the AC.

Damn good if you ask me for not diving into extreme hypermiling techniques
