Replacement halogen bulbs recommendations?

I'm going to be replacing the original headlamps in my 2004 Honda Accord soon, and I also want to buy better halogen bulbs that what I'm sure will come with the headlamp.

From doing some research, the white the light the better (>3800K from what I've read).

Can anyone recommend three or four good manufacturers of halogen lamps?

I upgraded to Volsa HIR-type 9011 / 9012 bulbs. They require a minor modification to the plastic base, but are brighter than the standard 9005 / 9006 bulbs.

I bought them from the link below, but may be able to find them from Phillips locally. Phillips headlight bulbs aren't sold here in Canada.

If you don't want to mess with modifying anything. Phillips or Sylvania 9005 / 9006 bulbs will be fine.

^^ that. Get HIR/HIR2 lamps. Minor modification of the lamp base is needed. 2x brighter, 2x the life, 2x the price of regular lamps.

If you have fog lights too, do the H11 to H9 conversion as well.

The HIR bulbs are available in the Phillips CrystalVision line, I would highly suggest those, as I had the standard bulbs and they were a clean white color.

Best you can get in my opinion over stock with no mods. They're about 2x as bright and wider visibility.

Anyone try the Sylvania Silverstar ZXE? If so, how does it compare to stock/other aftermarket bulbs?

I have the Philips 9006 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Headlight Bulb 2Pack (Low beam) in my wife's 2007 Coupe. Nice white light.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm going to read some reviews for the ones suggested hear and make a decision. I definitely want a white light this time around. I'll post here once I've got it installed and have used it for a while.

As a side question, I've never replaced a whole headlamp assembly. Will I most likely have to adjust the low and high beams?

I REPLACED my halogens with LEDs from diode dynamics. It was a good $138, but they turn on INSTANTLY, give off crisp white light, and draw a little more than 1/3 of the power that halogens would, so i'm less hesitant about shutting my engine off at night and leaving the lights on. If I ever sell this car, or retire it, i'm taking these bulbs with me.
