Clogged EGR

Anybody know the symptoms of a clogged EGR valve??

You won't hear it. You'll feel it when you're barely on the throttle and your speed goes up and down slightly. This was common on older hondas without DBW. The EGR valve is easily accessible and removable. I'm gonna spray the bolts with PB Blaster right now. I'll take it off in a few days and see what mine looks like.

You won't see anything in the ports under the valve unless the car is using vast amounts of oil.

The ports that clog are in the intake manifold.

On the V6 cars remove the upper plate to clean out the individual ports, on some K24 engines there's a bolt on plate on the aluminum intake.

Sapphire blue '04 V6 6 speed w/ full HFP, comptech ss, momo shadow, TL-S 27.2h/20 bars, intake spacer, retro chrome MH1 HIR2 highs, hella DE fogs, EBC Ultimax, subwoofer/amp, infinity rears, HD Radio, aux adapter, navi conversion.

Vermilion 1999 SVT F150 Lightning, Sylvania/Visteon Xenarc HID headlamps, '01 L turn/marker lamps, PIAA fogs, '01 up Bilstein shocks, all Pioneer speakers, Clarion subwoofer. All Redline fluids.

Silverstone 2003 Honda S2000, bone stock

Hmm interesting. I'm not completely sure, but I think I've felt at random times when pushing the throttle hard, the car kind of jerks once or twice on its way up the RPMs. It's very subtle though.

Yes. That plate comes off and all the squiggly ports are in the intake. The gasket will be coated with all kinds of crap too.

EGR is not open or having any effect at large throttle openings.

It only opens at light throttle, light load, and under complete closed throttle decel.
