Thumbs up

The interior door release cable on mines broke. Got a new one ordered that's on the way for tomorrow evening thankfully.

Radiator fan died. Was in traffic and noticed the temp climbing. At the time I thought what would enne do in this situation. Probably would have a heart attack. I got back on the highway and it was fine. Got a replacement fan motor at Advance Auto. Had to drill out the old screws.

Close...probably woulda had a panic attack.

Glad I can inspire confidence and level-headed thinking, with my irrational fear of blowing a head gasket being the alternative

Thank you ... John Madden ... for pointing out the blatantly obvious, and making me feel like a even bigger pile by not getting new OEM inserts ...

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with your "overly flat" analysis, for the simple reason that if the windshield was indeed overly flat, the already arched and reinforced driver side wiper would be making full contact throughout it's full motion and wouldn't be lifting it's top edge at the bottom 10" of it's stroke.

Fun fact, there's actually a "tab" on the drivers side wiper arm that is too small for the aftermarket wiper blades and is the source of this lift at the lowest portion of the wiper stroke. I have been too lazy to employ a zip-tie fix as of yet, but the cleverly disguised ridicule from the new guy may serve as the motivation to get 'er done.

This thread is about the Honda Accord, not about mines.

Mines are dangerous and can kill many puppies, kittens, and orphans. I will report you to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security- you have no business trying to repair a release cable on a mine.

Air conditioning stopped working, but was okay last year. Compressor isn't engaging and the fans aren't coming on when the A/C is turned on. I don't have the OEM stereo in it anymore, so I can't do the diagnostic. I did check the pressure switch and it's open circuit, so I'm guessing it's low on refrigerant. I think this is one of the few things I'll leave to someone else to fix.

What broke on your 2003-2007 Accord today?

Started hearing a slight click from the driver front end while braking at low speeds.

Another day, another sound from these oldies, huh?

Nothing new since the tranny blew.

Then again, haven't driven it either.

Replaced rear sway bar links and bushings.

I had to cut the first bolt off with dremel, but the other 3 came out just fine after I perfected my technique.

one thing I learned is: Clean the bolt first!

Step 1: Clean the 5mm hex hole using a pick. Spay some WD40. Then patiently wiggle the 5mm hex key in/out, until the key fits in perfectly.

Step 2: Clean the exposed thread with a wire wheel. Get rid of all the rust, until it shows clean/silver metal. You will be surprised at how much rust the wire wheel takes off on a seemingly good looking bolt.

Step 3: Turn the bolt, without using the hex key. This step is to break the rust between the bolt and the swaybar.

Step 4: Proceed with hex key hold and slowly loose the bolt.

Cleaning is the key. I rushed with 1st bolt and end up having to cut it. But the rest 3, I cleaned them really well, they came out really easy.
