From what I can tell, $99 is the standard price most dealers charge.
I also have a dog at home, and my experience with changing coolant has not been that it goes everywhere. A 5 gal bucket will fit under the pet**** with only slight jacking up of the under engine jack point. Make sure you position the jack slightly to the side to allow room for the bucket, and its a very tight fit ( the pet**** opening is BARELY over the side of the bucket). Also, I have used a funnel and vinyl tubing set up (cheap at Lowes/Home Depot) just be sure to keep the end of the tubing lower then the funnel and into a shallow bucket, if you try to use the 5 gal bucket, the coolant cant overcome the gravity with the tube higher then the funnel... you know what Im saying.
Its quick and easy, although I have to admit I used hose water and not distilled water, but I did flush twice because I bought too much coolant, and got it at a discount, so it wasnt a big deal. Its quite simple, took about 30-40 minutes at most.
-Fill with water.
-Start car, run until you clear high idle and car comes up to temp (therm opens and fan turns on).
-run heat at full blast to circulate through heater core for approx 10 minutes.
-drain h20, fill with coolant.
-run for about 5 min, run heat at full blast about 5 min.
-check levels, fill overflow to appropriate level.
Cheap and easy, always good to save money!.
Im sure there is a post on here somewhere, or you could ask Princess.
Edit: since when is pet**** a bad word?

Reason: pet**** and grammar issues
