02 sensor heater circuit malfunction

My scanner result shows these 2 error codes on my car:

P0141 ... 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)
P0706 ... trans range sensor ckt range/perf

how do I go about fixing these?
where do I locate d 02 sensor?

any help will be appreciated

I got the P0141 code along with some misfires a few months ago, it ended up that the O2 sensor heaters needed to be replaced. $600 job.

I am not sure what your second code is for.

I had the P0141 code about 1 month ago. Just search for it and you will find several threads on it. There was a Honda Service News article on that sensor. There is a better sensor out now, supposedly more corrosion resistant.

Actually, here:http://radio-pro.ru/forums/se...archid=1269811
It's probably easier to just post the search results.

Edit: By the way, changing this sensor should not cost $600. I believe HondaFamilyMan was including other repairs in that figure. My dealer charged about $230 to the extended warranty folks (third party).

Google is frighteningly powerful!

Here's one detailed response:

Edit: Just saw that you (likely) have an I-4 and the page above is for a V6......, maybe there are some similarities....

TL shift knob, Hidden Hitch, Venture Shield clear protetive film,
GM Friction Modified Synchromesh transmission fluid,
2007 Acura TL-S front/rear sway bars,
Clutch slave cylinder restrictor valve delete.

Without an HDS (real Honda scanner) it's going to be difficult to diagnose the trans range sensor issue.
You need to know whether or not it's actually putting out the correct voltages for each gear you're selecting.

Does your PRNDL work properly on the dash? (gear indicator)

The a/f or O2 sensor heater issue is usually the sensor itself, the heater within the sensor has crapped out. You have to determine by the code displayed which bank (if a V6) and which sensor (front or rear) is showing the problem.

Sapphire blue '04 V6 6 speed w/ full HFP, comptech ss, momo shadow, TL-S 27.2h/20 bars, intake spacer, retro chrome MH1 HIR2 highs, hella DE fogs, EBC Ultimax, subwoofer/amp, infinity rears, HD Radio, aux adapter, navi conversion.

Vermilion 1999 SVT F150 Lightning, Sylvania/Visteon Xenarc HID headlamps, '01 L turn/marker lamps, PIAA fogs, '01 up Bilstein shocks, all Pioneer speakers, Clarion subwoofer. All Redline fluids.

That's a lot of steps there. I don't even understand some of d terms there. More over, i don't av a HDS. I use an Actron AutoScanner Plus CP9180. can it do d work?

FredSVT is the expert here, I only found the info to pass it on, sounds like a trip to the dealership or a trusted shop that has HDS.

I would just go to the dealer for that one... hopefully it's nothing major.

The problem is that the nearest dealer is about 900km drive from my location through a bad road that makes the journey 12 -14hrs. Also you'll have to keep the car for about 4weeks b4 they work on it

You can try with a generic obd2 scanner, but mostly they'll only display the code number. (if that) Many will just show a P0700, a general trans fault.

Does this car see much mud, heavy snow, or water?

BTW, with the light blinking, I wouldn't want to be driving it much. Especially not on a 900km drive to a dealership. I'd be worried of damaging the trans.
