Anyone used one of the ebay prepainted bumper vendors?

Stuff like this

Wondering if anyones tried anything like this before, how was the paint quality and match, ive got sapphire blue, car has scratches on both bumpers, body shop wants 4k to sand down and repaint with blending since its on all 4 corners, this seems like a more affordable option assuming the paint work is done right

I actually just purchased one from "paint a part" eBay vendor. To replace my front bumper cover which cracked when I caught a pedal of my bicycle when backing out once. It Arrived today...I gave them the vin number and they supposedly match it close.

I will know how well it matches once I get it on the car, but quality seems good. Color is Alabaster Silver Met. For my 06 l4 Sedan. Here are a couple of pics, I will post more when I get it installed and get to test fitment and color. Cost was 250 shipped.

Make sure they have a very solid rating, and check their return policy, b/c it's going to be hit or miss.

I did the ebay painted bumper thing on my 6thGen years ago. Paint qual looked good, but the fit was off, and left a nice gap on one side. I figured I was hosed, but the seller refunded my money, and I didn't have to ship it back. I ended up finding a good OEM one on craigslist.

Can you post an update with close-up pictures of the corners and where it meets the headlights when you get it on your car? Thanks!

Thanks! I'm really interested because my bumper is currently held together by zip ties. Haha.

Did you go oem or inspire for the fogs?

I went with replica inspire, they were sold on amazon for $75 shipped and are made by winjet. installation was pretty easy, but when the new bumper comes in, I'll have to cut it again to make it fit. I'm hoping it arrives on schedule. It's been 5 days since I ordered the bumpers.

Definitely go with inspire or a replica there of, and if you have a dremel it makes the install MUCH easier.

I am kinda curious how this works out for you as I was looking at a pre-paint ebay vendor as well. There was an unfortunate incident with our van and the front cover is cracked (in an inconspicuous area) and there are scratches. Subscribed to see how your outcome is.

EBay inspire fogs. Working on cutting the fog holes with my dremel on the new bumper. Planning to try this heavy duty double stick tape and maybe some RTV to mount them and get a good snug fit.

Same here, mine cracked right near the side mount screw making an epoxy repair really weak and crappy looking.
