Red face Plasti-dip entire car...thoughts?

After hours of youtube videos of watching people plasti-dipping their entire car, im thinking of doing the same to my 07 alabaster silver accord. plastidipyourcar.com has kits for about 300 to do the entire car with a paint gun and couple gallons of paint. Has anyone done or thought about it?
Either I plastic dip or vinyl it since its starting to show it age with the color and scratches

If I'm gonna use a paint gun on my car, it's gonna have paint in it.

It will only be a pain to remove if you do not do enough layers of the plasti dip. They recommend four to five coats.

I am going to do this also, matte white. It seems easy and ive messed around with plasti dip for some time. Im not sure how good the gun is that they give you in the kit. I think that it would be cheaper and look nicer for you to just buy 5gal of plasti dip ($150) and buy yourself a gun. (150-200)

Gotta be honest - I've dipped my side mirrors 3 times already in the 2 months I've owned my car - it's super easy to remove as long as you lay it down thick enough ... I've contemplated dipping my hood, roof, and trunk black (maybe even "dipyourcar.com"'s carbon) since my ride is white, and I'm in the same boat where the paint is showing lots of road rash from the highway miles ...

true - a quality paint job is always gonna look better ... but painting is permanent (even if you do a crap-tastic job) - but if you don't like the dip just peel it off ... that, and a good paint job will cost me 10 times what a dip will cost ... not that hard to see the pro's of at least trying the dip route.

And probably spend anywhere from 3 to 10 times more than he could buy the entire dipyourcar kit lol. At least in my area an entire car wrap isn't cheap

idk...I've had mixed feelings about this. I've watched the videos too and they're always doing beautiful, expensive cars (Audi R8, etc.) but it just seems more of a hassle to me than it's worth. If I were to dip my car, it'd end up being a color on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and with my OCD - the door sills, engine bay, etc. would drive me crazy still being GP.

Keep us posted though if you go through with it!

I saw a plasti-dipped 7th gen sedan. It looked horrible. I wouldn't do it.

I think it looks good professionally done. You can have it done for about $600. At least you know it will be done right.
